Meet the Lisa Horton Crafts team | Rebecca Townsend
Hi! I'm Rebecca, I live near Newark with my cats, Gypsy and Piper. My partner Alasdair and I have been together for nearly 20 years. Until fairly recently, I worked as an IT business analyst.
When did you start crafting?
I started watercolouring 7-8 years ago and gradually got into cardmaking after making a load of bookmarks and tags.
How did you come across Lisa Horton Crafts for the first time?
I first came across Lisa Horton when she was designing for another company and I have quite a few stamps and dies from that time.
How long have you been part of the LHC team?
I joined the LHC design team as a guest In May 2024 at a time when I was missing working full time, so the opportunity just came along at the right time.
What are your three favourite products from LHC?
You really want me to choose?
- Floral dies and nesting dies
- Messy stuff (explosion powders, pastes, reinkers)
- Inks (esp. metallic and interference)
And your favourite technique?
Turning something messy into something beautiful. I like to make papers and die cut them to make into florals and shapes.
What are you looking forward in 2025?
- Improving my cardmaking skills, turning my office into a proper craft room with designated areas for stuff.
- Making short cardmaking process videos - max 20 mins.
- Writing/blogging about cardmaking
