Meet the Lisa Horton Crafts team | Tina Foster
Hi everyone, if you don’t already know me, my name is Tina, and I live in Bickley, Kent with my husband, our son and cat Millie.
My crafting journey started around 25 years ago when my son was young. I used to watch card making shows on TV, and started enjoying making cards for family and friends. I loved how people were so excited and grateful to receive a handmade card, and I was hooked. It’s wonderful to see the joy in people’s faces when they receive something that’s made especially for them. It’s lovely.
I first came across Lisa Horton when she was on TV with Creative Expressions. I always made sure to watch her shows as I just loved her style much more than anyone else.
My son persuaded me to showcase my cards on Instagram in September 2019, and a few weeks later I noticed Lisa’s post calling for design team members as she was branching out on her own to form Lisa Horton Crafts. Wow! I was excited!, but I didn’t believe I’d ever stand a chance. I had no experience of being in a design team, had only 20 Instagram followers and not even joined Facebook, but I couldn’t stop thinking “what if” and plucked up the courage to send a cheeky email to Lisa on the closing date. I explained I had no experience, no followers to speak of and had only been on social media for a matter of weeks, but asked if she would like to take a look at my Instagram page.
Honestly, you could have knocked me down with a feather when I received an email from Lisa saying that I had been chosen to be in her team!! I was beyond excited. That was at the very start in December 2019, and I’m absolutely delighted and so proud to still represent Lisa Horton Crafts today.
There have been so many fabulous products over the years, but my favourites would have to be Lisa’s Daisy dies - I’m a sucker for all the floral dies especially, but these seem to crop up in many of my samples. The Textures cardstock is something I couldn’t do without, and the Ulti Mate is a wonderful tool for ease of use of stencils and stamps.
As for 2025, I’m looking forward to all the gorgeousness that Lisa Horton Crafts brings!
Thank you for taking the time to read about my journey with Lisa, and for your past and future likes and comments across my social media platforms. It’s very much appreciated. You can find me …..
